Aram Khachaturian’s Violin and Piano concerts closed the 6th Khachaturian International Festival. The two soloists Boris Berezovsky (piano) and Daniel Röhn (violin) performed during the two part-concert.
Daniel Röhn performed Khachaturian’s Violin concert before, but on November 13 he presented it for the first time in the composer’s motherland.
“I have always loved Khachaturian’s Violin concert. I learned it rather late, just several years ago. Inexpressible, magnificent music, like hovering in the universe" said the violinist.
During the talk with the journalists before the concert, the pianist Boris Berezovsky highlighted that Khachaturian is one of his most beloved composers. “I always perform Khachaturian’s Piano concert with the greatest pleasure; the audience warmly accepts it because it is bright, brilliant and beautiful music and we must express our deepest gratitude to the composer.”
Sergey Smbatyan says that it’s a great success to have such kind of international festival in Armenia. According to him, the participation of renowned musicians in the festival makes it even more outstanding.
Note: The 6th Khachaturian International Festival was dedicated to the composers 115th anniversary and was organized by the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra with the support of the RA Ministry of Culture.
